# Print Guide — resin printing the archive

Practical guidance for printing Tomorrow's Fossils specimens on MSLA/DLP resin printers.

- Orientation: tilt large flat faces 15–25°, support overhangs steeper than 50°; per-part notes ship in every package
- Layer height: 35–50 µm resolves the fine mechanical detail
- Keyed joints: 0.15 mm clearance at 100% scale — re-test after rescaling
- Hollowing: bodies over ~30 mm to 2–2.5 mm walls with two drain holes
- Safety: nitrile gloves, ventilation, cure waste before disposal
- Finish: dark basecoat, warm grey drybrush on stone, metallics on mechanism only, amber accent last
